Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Tempe, AZ.
The Software Development Engineer works within an agile scrum team, uses modern development styles, implements best practices and is aware of industry trends in designing significant/complex software components and communicating said design in an unambiguous way to fellow engineers for execution. This role is intensely collaborative and engages in highly complex problem solving, ripping apart monolithic architecture and creating modern architecture.
Maintain and augment software applications and services currently in operation
Adhere to Company Engineering standards for the overall Software Development Lifecycle and in support of our daily processes around design review and code review
Develop competency and mastery of different languages and frameworks being used
Collaborate closely with peers and mentors to conceive and build high-quality products and services
Author and maintain effective unit tests
Perform manual integration testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities
Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers
Design significant/complex software components and communicate said design in an unambiguous way to fellow engineers for execution
Drive implementation efforts to completion from design through test automation
Mentor other engineers on techniques, languages, frameworks and ensure they can complete their job successfully
Interact capably with management to provide the metrics and feedback they need to effect policy
BS in Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent work experience
4 years professional software development experience
3+ years of designing, developing and debugging secure C# applications
Communicate clearly and succinctly written and verbally
Possess superior problem-solving and analytical skills
