Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator Lead to join our Health & Wellness business at our South Hackensack  - Louis Street, New Jersey. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to Production Supervisor.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain production batch record from start to end of production process


• Ensure proper product and packaging component are used as per work order


• Maintain food safety and quality of product with GMP – PPE, sanitation program


• Enforce safety policy to maintain zero incident culture


• Train employee on applicable SOPs and enforce as needed


• Operate all equipment on packaging line and maintain equipment with minor repair and schedule PM (training will be provided)


• Maintain warehouse and premises to comply GMP, safety, environmental regulatory requirement, pest control program


• Support to maintain warehouse, PPE inventory


• Additional responsibilities as needed by the management to maintain quality and productivity

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

• High School diploma and/or minimum 3 years of experience on packaging line


• Communication skill – bilingual (Preferred English, Spanish)


• Basic computer knowledge


• Willing to learn and operate forklift (training will be provided)

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

• May need to work extended hours during the week and weekend as needed


• Current position is for day shift, may need to move in second shift


• Excellent oral and writing skills
