Do you want to play a role in global commerce?
As the Senior, Technical Accounting, in our downtown Denver office, you will be responsible for assisting the global accounting department and senior management with researching, concluding on and documenting the accounting for new or proposed real estate transactions, the formation of ventures, debt refinancing, changes in accounting literature, etc. as well as technical accounting questions received from the global operations teams and other corporate departments. The individual in this role is responsible for preparing and updating global accounting policies as well as assisting with educating various groups throughout the Company about the potential accounting impacts related to new and proposed accounting guidance or transactions. Additionally, this role assists with the preparation and review of certain financial statement areas for Prologis, the preparation of financial reporting for certain Prologis ventures, and assists with the financial reporting controls compliance process alongside the global accounting team and internal audit. The role involves collaboration and coordination across numerous departments within a multi-billion dollar global company.
Here's how to do that:
Perform technical accounting research, form a conclusion and formally document in memos for senior management. Present conclusions and coordinate with external auditors on certain accounting conclusions.
Research the appropriate accounting treatment for new and potential transactions
Prepare and document accounting policies for global accounting organization
Prepare and/or review certain financial statement areas for Prologis reporting (through reporting in the 10-Q / 10-K)
Preparation of consolidated financial statements and reporting for 3 U.S. joint ventures including coordination with Investor Relations
Assist in the financial reporting controls compliance process alongside the global accounting team and internal audit
Serve as a resource for corporate and property accounting groups globally with questions primarily on US GAAP accounting as well as IFRS
Promote collaborative team atmosphere and positive work environment
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Minimum of three busy seasons completed with a public accounting firm preferred
Experience with real estate, SEC Reporting and/or a global multi entity organization preferred
CPA license required
High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Effective written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate issues and suggested resolutions with management.

Target base compensation range of: $67,000-$84,000, plus bonus % target to be discussed during initial phone interview.
