Sr. IT QA Release Manager

We are seeking a driven Senior IT Quality & Release Manager to enable our development teams in delivering scalable, distributed software systems that require high availability to support critical business functions. In collaboration with architecture, engineering, ops, and security teams, you will lead the software quality & release process within our Prologis Essentials portfolio and work on continuously improving the software engineering delivery process including 3rd party security and software upgrades and patches.
In this multifaceted role, you will enable development teams to craft progressive and high impact customer facing web applications to elevate the Prologis Essentials line of business. You will be responsible for implementing and running the quality assurance & release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.

Forward Plan Prologis release windows and cycles across the Essentials portfolio
Handle risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Participate in requirements management, including reviewing requirements for testability and automation
Anticipate release problems, taking corrective actions, and advancing as needed in order to achieve commitments.
Define, Measure, supervise progress and report on QA goals and objectives & Release Management metrics to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and of high quality.
Communicate all key release plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
Cultivate relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations and 3rd party SaaS solutions.
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Achievement Reviews, and Business Go and No-Go reviews.
Create, Own and version control Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
Improve QA practices and processes in the portfolio by creating and maintaining documentation, QA templates, and other related artifacts
Run test automation roadmap and framework for the entire portfolio throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide QA & Release Management reporting on a weekly or monthly basis to Executive and Senior Management.
Negotiate, plan and handle all release activities.
Work with development engineers and leads to understand impacts of branches and code merges.
Maintains the release calendar and schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Collaborate closely with teams in development of scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.
Participate in change advisory board meetings to discuss release scope, risks, mitigations.
Maintains a release repository and leads key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification list.

Minimum of 7 years of software engineering experience; Minimum of 3 years as a technical lead or engineering leader.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred.
2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience, (Proven understanding of project management principles preferred).
'Make-it-happen' demeanor, the innate capacity for ownership and timely delivery of results in a fast-paced environment.
Formal training in project management practices preferred.
Sophisticated knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile product management and tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello is a desired.
Proficient in testing tools like jMeter ,Loadrunner, qTest, Tosca is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
Validated effective leadership and analytical skills.
Sophisticated written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Excellent technical communication skills and collaborating with multi-functional business partners.
Target base compensation range of: $102,000 - $152,000 (Denver) and $112,000 - $168,000 (San Francisco), plus bonus target to be discussed during initial phone interview.
