Job Description:

As a Solution Architect at Kount, you are responsible for design and technical delivery at a solution level. This role requires a wide range of technical expertise, including systems architecture and component design. You’ll build consensus for your architecture across organizations such as product, information security, enterprise architecture, and feature teams. Help us guide engineering teams with various skill sets and backgrounds to bring software solutions from inception to happy customers!

What you'll do:


  • Design technical solutions for new products, features, and infrastructure improvements.

  • Work with the product organization to document requirements and identify cross-team dependencies.

  • Provide specifications to feature teams, and work with them to break down tasks and estimate delivery dates.

  • Establish non-functional requirements and ensure they are met, particularly: quality, security, performance, and monitoring.

  • Work with feature teams regularly to provide guidance, technical direction, and remove roadblocks.

  • Take ownership for successful product deliveries, including technical execution and systems integration.

  • Notify stakeholders on the status of product development, processes, and costs.

  • Continually research emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing architecture.

Qualifications:


  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Master's degree a plus.

  • 8+ years of working experience in one or multiple IT areas (Development, DevOps, IT architecture).

  • Strong cloud architecture experience in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Demonstrable understanding of architecture patterns (microservice, event-based, microkernel).

  • Experience collaborating with multiple departments for successful product delivery.

  • Communication skills to build consensus, manage large meetings, and deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems.
