Silver Peak is giving Enterprises the (WAN) Edge! With an end-to-end approach to SD-WAN platform, we are delivering the highest multiplier on your investments in cloud applications and services, transforming your WAN to deliver better economics, control, reliability and performance.

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will plan, write, and publish various types of technical documentation at Silver Peak. You will work on API documentation, deployment and integration guides, best practice documents, online help, and other end-user documentation. This onsite/remote role is based out of our Santa Clara, CA headquarters and will report to our Technical Publications Manager.

How you'll make your mark:

• Build a strong foundational knowledge of Silver Peak products.
• Identify and plan for business needs and produce required deliverables.
• Lead projects from design to release.
• Work closely with product and software development teams to document new features and relevant technologies.
• Prioritize demands for both internal and external technical documentation.
• Produce high-quality end-user documentation that adeptly presents technical concepts in a readable and easy-to-understand manner.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

About you:

• You have a strong technical background with proven knowledge in networking and routing protocols.
• You have experience working with and documenting REST APIs.
• You have exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• You have highly developed writing and communication skills.
• You have experience with industry standard writing practices such as XML, topic-based authoring, etc.
• You have successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously.
• You have an innovative and creative approach to producing technical content.
• You have a “whatever it takes” attitude to drive projects to completion.
• You have solid experience working in a startup environment.
• You have a BA/BS in English, Technical Communications, Engineering, or related degree.
• You have at least six years of experience with technology companies developing and editing technical content.
• You have experience working in MadCap Flare or Markdown .
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SDN, virtualization, and/or cloud technologies is a plus.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, or developing videos is a plus.

Annual Salary: $83,300.00 - $120,800.00
