Operates and maintains the company vehicle safely and according to Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. Maintains travel logs and full service of the vehicle. Performs a variety of routine actives in support of the rapid site deployment (RSD) team. Responsible for the shipping and receiving of a clinic in a box (CIB) and informational technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates a company vehicle to safely transport medical/logistical space/equipment and staff to events via interstate commerce
Communicates with operational teams via cell phone/email in regards to timely information concerning logistical movements
Maintains compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Performs all required vehicle inspections as prescribed by local, state and federal requirements
Maintains all required travel logs and other required paperwork in an electronic format through cloud based technologies
Maintains full service of the vehicle (e.g., regular scheduled maintenance, routine checks of tires, batteries, fluid levels, cleaning and overall appearance, etc.)
Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned vehicle
Initiates contact with required agencies and organizations for contingency plans (accident, severe weather, etc.)
Responsible for route adherence for logistical movements
Responsible for maintaining appropriate level of medical supplies and able to lift/move medical and or power equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Provide logistical support to the RSD team
Responsible for coordination of shipping and receiving complete CIB sets and IT Go Boxes to event sites including tracking and stocking of supplies as needed
Order and maintain all RSD supply inventories including completion of inventory sheets for CIBs before shipping, inventory returning CIBs and restock and build CIBs as necessary
Perform operational checks on equipment to ensure functionality
Process claims with shippers on damaged/missing shipments in a timely manner
Track and analyze missed shipments to ensure they do not occur again
Respond to customer inquiries and refer to appropriate personnel if unable to handle
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Competencies:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and multiple concurrent overnight stays in multiple cities/states
Ability to drive for extended hours per Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines
Knowledge of DOT commercial vehicle regulations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to complete company expense reports in a timely manner according to company policy
Ability to move containers with wheels up to 120 lbs
Knowledge of electronic shipping (e.g., FedEx, UPS, etc.)
Excellent customer service, organization and follow-through skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to excel at details, multi-task, and work with a high sense of urgency
Exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be self-motivated
Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of office equipment (Fax, Printer, Copier, etc.)
3 to 5 years of commercial driving experience required
Must be able to pass DOT medical examination for commercial drivers
Must be able to pass background check including random drug testing and maintain drug free required by DOT
Must be 21 years of age or older, as outlined by the DOT
Must possess a Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and a clean driving record for 3 to 5 years
