Position Summary


The LMS Administrator plays an important role in the organization by performing several activities related to the company’s learning and development functions, including overall administration of the learning management system. The role is primarily responsible for, under moderate to intermittent supervision, supporting the Guild University team and end users, by performing system administration, troubleshooting, scheduling, reporting, and other support functions.  Additional duties may include editing coursework, creating job aids, graphics, and other supporting materials. The LMS Administrator uses interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to resolve system and learning issues. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, demonstrating a high level of customer service and sense of urgency.


Essential Functions



  • Administer the company’s Learning Management System to reset passwords, add and remove user accounts, groups, mark learners as complete, perform general troubleshooting, create online and ILT courses, manage the user interface, scheduling of learning, and execute reports as needed.

  • Administer the company’s philanthropic and internal shared sites to create, add, and maintenance content, reset passwords, add features, perform general troubleshooting, and execute reports as needed.

  • Act as subject matter expert/owner of company’s learning management system and customer support process.

  • Collaborate with Learning Specialists and Instructional Designers to manage courses within the LMS, and create course materials such as job aids, guides, and infographics.

  • Serve as the key point of contact on systems by managing internal and vendor relationships, coordinating system enhancements, and providing user training.

  • Provide reports as needed from systems including those for learners, instructors, and management.

  • Create and maintain end-user documentation for processes related to and in support of our core systems.

  • Collaborate with the HRIS Analyst to build and maintain the department’s intranet site with engaging pages based on requirements and content provided by senior team members.

  • When needed, collaborate with subject matter experts to research, and gather course content, using adult learning methodologies including creating storyboards, writing audio scripts, and developing assessments.

  • Use video animation tools to create visually stimulating and engaging animations for use in eLearning courses or as stand-alone micro-learning segments.

  • Stay abreast of applicable and progressive learning tools, trends, and best practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred with emphasis in Learning and Development or Human Resources.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in administering an application/system; learning management system preferred.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

  • Previous experience with webinar products.

  • Familiarity of course development and eLearning software tools.

  • Familiarity of Instructional Design and adult learning principles and best practices.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, ability to work effectively in cross-functional, deadline, and metric-driven environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Strong detail orientation and highly organized.

  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values.

Supervision



  • Works under moderate to general supervision, depending on experience.

Manual Dexterity:  Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.



Audio/Visual:  Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.


Environmental:  Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
