Job Description:

The Global HR Chief Data & Analytics Office supports the data management, data programs, reporting and advanced analytics related to the workforce data for the 260,000+ employees of JPMorgan Chase. The Global HR Data Programs Lead will direct and manage multiple large complex initiatives across 3 major pillars:



  • Data Programs - Lead CDAP Data Program Office which centrally manages large scale governance and control programs across HR

  • CDAO Controls Lead - Leads and serves as the single point of contact for HR Controls organization to manage regulatory requests, self-identified plan, escalated risks, and oversees risk assessment levels.

  • Strategic HR Authoritative Data Source Information Owner - Manages key strategic HR authoritative data source platforms resiliency, security, and change management.

This individual will have an advanced knowledge and skill set of the following:


  • Agile Principles and Mindset, willing to explore, embrace, and apply agile principles and mindset within the context of the program teams and organization.

    • Advocate for agile principles by demonstrating those principles and values
    • Ensure that the team has a common understanding of agile principles
    • Encourage emergent and servant leadership in order to make seamless improvements, foster self-organization, and empowerment


  • Value-Driven Delivery by delivering valuable results by producing high-value increments for review, early and often, based on stakeholder priorities.

    • Define positive value by participating in Epic Segmentations, validating Epic alignment, and planning releases/deployments based on Minimal Viable Product (MVP)
    • A focus on risk by incorporating value producing and risk reducing work into the backlog
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and perform frequent reviews and maintenance to compliment Scrum ceremonies


  • Stakeholder Engagement by engaging interested parties by building a trusting environment that aligns their needs and expectations while balancing their requests with an understanding of the cost/effort involved.

    • Promote participation and collaboration for effective and informed decision making
    • Establish and execute any requisite product


  • Team Performance creating and contributing to an environment of trust, learning, collaboration, and conflict resolution that promotes team self-organization, enhances relationships among team members, and cultivates a culture of high performance.

    • Ensure processes are defined to create cohesiveness and a commitment to shared outcomes
    • Encourage members to become generalist while continuing to deepen knowledge and experience to assist in creating high-performing cross-functional teams
    • Foster close communication with members and product owners/stakeholders
    • Encourage self-measurements of the team's velocity to gain a better understanding of their capacity therefore creating more accurate forecasts.


  • Adaptive Planning by producing and maintaining an evolving plan, from discovery to closure, based on goals, values, risks, constraints, stakeholder feedback, and review findings

    • Ensure planning is occurring at multiple levels (strategic, release,) at the appropriate level of detail
    • Ensure planning activities are visible and transparent in order to set and manage stakeholder expectations


  • Problem Detection and Resolution by continuously identifying problems, impediments, and risks; prioritize and resolve in a timely manner; monitor and communicate the problem resolution status; and implement process improvements to prevent them from occurring again.

    • Maintain a visible, monitored, and prioritized list of risks and issues in order to escalate accountability, encourage action, and track ownership and resolution status.
    • Communicate status of risks and issues by maintaining risk list and incorporating activities into backlog of work in order to provide transparency.


  • Continuous Improvement (Product, Process, People) by continuously improve the quality, effectiveness, and value of the product, the process, and the team

    • Contribute to improving team processes by participating in retrospectives and improvement experiments in order to continually enhance the effectiveness of the team, program, and organization.
    • Challenge existing process elements by performing a value stream analysis and removing waste in order to increase individual efficiency and team effectiveness.


  • Dependency management and coordination when managing multiple projects that impact multiple products

    • Partner with the various product owners / area product owners to facilitate the alignment of priorities are set appropriately.
    • Accountable for program execution and delivery across all lines of Business Channels

  • Financial Management and Business Value

Qualifications

  • Professional experience participating, managing and/or directing large, complex business initiatives; with and without technology components. Proven experience managing complex, multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Agile Methodologies.
  • Ability to work well in a high-pressure and dynamic environment, to develop strong client relationships and manage by influence. Initiative, collaboration and partnering skills; track record of building relationships.
  • Ability to think out of the box and on their feet very quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across disparate organizational boundaries to accomplish common objective, including the appropriate escalations in the organization to ensure timely delivery.
  • Repeated, demonstrated history of delivering technology projects through the entire lifecycle on-time and on-budget.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional personable demeanor and have excellent skills in the following areas: budget management, communications, team building, and consensus building
  • Ability to foresee and manage risk, strong control mindset.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, and be adaptable to change. Strong attention to detail.
  • Quick learner, readily able to understand HR requirements, framework, standards and practices.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing regulatory and business environment is an essential quality for success in this role.
  • Proven history of scaling operations through the "smart" use of technology and process simplification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Adept at developing presentations and delivering to senior management.
  • Past experience developing or enhancing programs that seek to address business or regulatory changes affecting current governance processes within an organization.
  • Ability to work independently and quickly digest large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data to draw conclusions, identify potential deficiencies, and propose both tactical and strategic solutions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify relationships across sets of data.
  • Process re-engineering, process improvement and have (Lean Six Sigma) type skillsets.
  • Ongoing monitoring and measuring of the operating model. Someone who can come in and develop and deploy SLAs that showcases the value proposition of the work you and doing (WHAT it means to JPMC) and how well you are doing based on defect rates, number of repeat issues, etc.
