New Product and Supplier Curation. Identify, Review and Onboard new suppliers and new products from Diversity Suppliers. Utilize RangeMe, Food Shows, Competitive Analysis, Trend Analysis and all product curation skills to optimize the assortment.
Negotiation Skills. Supplier Negotiations for New Item Placement, Promotional Funds and Exit Plans
Category Analysis. Ability to analyze sales, volume, margin and turns to optimize product assortments and seasonal offerings.
Promotional Planning. Negotiate for and manage the promotional calendar of events that align the The Fresh Market Ad Planning Calendar. Promotional Plans will include Digital, Print and In-Store marketing efforts.
Demand Planning. Forecast initial distributions along with promotional and seasonal lifts.
Store Customer Service. Be the point of contact to resolve store questions on Diversity Products.
Internal Coordination with Marketing, Scanning, Supply Chain and all internal partners
External Coordination with Distributors, Suppliers, Brokers and syndicated data partners
Responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree preferred, focus in Business Administration, Economics or a related field is strong preferred.
Existing/Previous Retail Experience is not required; but is preferred.
Ability to build strong supplier partnerships
Curation of Specialty items, with a focus on Diversity Suppliers
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and excellent follow through
Detail oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent written and verbal skills
MicroStrategy Experience is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
PowerPoint and Presentation skills.
Experience with Syndicated Market Data and / or Loyalty Data is preferred (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, dunnhumby, Aimia, etc..)
