Job Overview:

Responsible for testing a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. S/he contributes to quality engineering discussions.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:
  • Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks; and delivers as per the commitments, while helping team members
  • Make technology choices at individual level and has ability to analyze impact
  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like SAFe/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Integration, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
  • Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process
  • Prepare Reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts
  • Work with fellow team members to diagnose defects and formulate solutions
  • Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, integration, end-to-end, functional, and regression test cases
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 9 years of professional experience in OR Master's degree with 7 years of experience

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in LOCATION NAME (change location as needed)

Technical Expertise:
  • Extensive experience in test automation using Selenium, QTP and Jasmine Framework or other automation tools with working knowledge of writing Java/Java script in a SAFe/Agile environment
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous automation and deployment process with basic knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting is required
  • Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management tools such as Rally, Confluence, HP ALM etc.
  • Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies in AWS

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends
  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices

  • Ability to takes ownership of medium sized tasks and deliver while helping team members
  • Own and deliver medium sized tasks completely independently
  • Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results
  • Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct
  • Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives
