Join us as a Product Marketing Manager!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing (Investor Services) team.

Position Summary:

BBH assists asset managers and banks in the application of technology and services to achieve their most important objectives: act on opportunities for growth, gain efficiencies through process automation, and enhance control/oversight.

BBH is seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Manager to own product positioning and external marketing campaigns for BBH's high-growth emerging technology area and core services. This individual will be responsible for driving marketing strategy, content, and execution of marketing plans to increase client engagement, sales support, and revenue. The Product Marketing Manager and will support BBH's global product marketing initiatives for Investor Services to ensure a consistently high level of internal and external marketing, content, and communications.

This individual will be responsible for building and delivering marketing plans to deliver product messaging in an effective and differentiated way, working closely with business colleagues globally. S/he will also work together with BBH's product executives, global sales, and relationship managers internally, and externally with industry-related contacts including conference-related contacts, vendors, and consultants.

S/he should have a strong working knowledge of the global asset servicing business and experience with product marketing strategies. This individual should be an excellent communicator (verbal, written) and have the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The role will be supported by central resources in the areas of graphic design, marketing operations, social media (LinkedIn), web team, public relations (PR), and content/thought leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing Campaign Management (Strategy & Execution)


  • Plan and Budget: Craft and execute annual integrated marketing plans and budgets for assigned products together with product executives, business stakeholders and marketing


  • Messaging/Positioning: Create and maintain internal and external campaign messaging that includes our BBH positioning and how we fit into the overall market/how we are differentiated to arm client facing individuals with a common language and understanding



  • Content: Strategize and agree to a content program and stream in conjunction with content/thought leadership team, publishing articles, whitepapers and blog posts throughout the year in order to position BBH as a thought leader


    • Assist with the content creation process including working with subject matter experts, writing and editing content where required




  • Digital/Social/PR: Keep web copy language at the campaign and product level continuously updated, aligned to latest campaign thinking



    • Design a targeted distribution strategy that includes mass mailings, LinkedIn business user posts, LinkedIn sponsored content, contributions to BBH's blogs where applicable


    • Identify campaign spokespersons and work with them on internal and external opportunities to deliver BBH's product messaging to the market




Product Marketing


  • Establish a targeted, insight-led marketing strategy, and client engagement plan that explicitly positions BBH as a leader in the emerging technology and core areas


  • Create and maintain product level internal and external messaging to arm client facing individuals with a common language and understanding


  • Provide continuously improving targeted sales/marketing collateral and tools to client and market facing individuals to educate clients and prospects on our capabilities


  • Facilitate new product launches coordinating with product experts to identify message points and fit within broader BBH product suite


  • Work together with the internal product organization to complete competitive analyses of products, services, collateral, & websites (includes involvement in key conferences, as well as networking with consultants and vendors)


  • Contribute to the PR strategy, assisting with interview prep and press releases for new products in conjunction with the Global PR Manager


  • Experiment with new marketing strategies


Collateral Development


  • Coordinate directly with, subject matter experts, sales and product contacts in the development of new marketing collateral


  • Provide ongoing maintenance of marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, etc. on all appropriate channels


Candidate Qualifications include:


  • BS/BA degree and/or equivalent work experience


  • MBA a plus


  • 10 years financial services experience with at least 5 years spent in a marketing-related role is desired


  • Proven track record of identifying creative marketing opportunities to address most pressing commercial challenges for financial services products


  • Experience of working with teams globally is an advantage


  • Specific knowledge of the global asset management industry and related marketing activities


  • Understanding of the global custody product and ancillary services including cash management, corporate actions, portfolio evaluation services and fund administration a plus


  • Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships that foster collaboration towards achieving actionable results through others


  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills


  • Detail oriented with proven ability to see open issues to resolution


  • Quick learner, ability to multi-task and trouble shoot problems.


  • Knack for creativity conveying key strategic messaging in print and multimedia (PowerPoint, Keynote, and print) as well as the skill and confidence to deliver interactive presentations


  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills required. Salesforce and Marketo experience preferred.
