Description


We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer(s) and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.


Responsibilities



  • Develop new user-facing features for modern rich internet applications using latest front-end technologies

  • Manage projects independently throughout the scope of the projects

  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed, performance and scalability

  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

  • Collaborate with the UI/UX team, Developers, BA’s, PM’s and stakeholders

  • Is more than comfortable with responsive web development  and can develop code for a wide array of devices and browsers

  • Is familiar with ADA Compliance standards 

  • Works with UX and visual designers to determine needs and goals, review wireframes and mockups to provide internal feedback, and introduce some new ways of approaching interactions or features 

  • Provide documentation and recommendations for the acceptance or mitigation of any issues and risks associated with requirements, proposed systems, solutions, development, designs, plans and timelines 

  • Eager to expand their skills, try new tools, and create best practices 

  • Has a keen eye for details and takes pride in the little things that separate good and great work (the type that believes in the life-changing magic of well-commented code and GitHub readme files) 

  • Appreciates new technology, follows design trends and best practices, understands usability, loves typography, and geeks out outside of the workplace 

  • Maintain and enhance home-grown design system 

  • Perform usability testing and front-end QA 

Skills And Qualifications



  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Intermediate understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

  • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.

  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator is a plus.

  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT

  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

  • Experience with CDN’s, Cloud technologies , .NET Applications is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Mathematics, Graphic Design, Visual Design or related field
