Responsibilities

Do you want to work with Leaders in Engineering and Operations to drive human resource related needs?  Have you served as a Human Resource Generalist or partner driving efficiency, strategies, and services for a large function?  This Senior human Resource partner role will service our GPE, Engineering function.  This will be a lead business partner role reporting to the Director of Human Resources.   

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic human resource leader to partner with some of Dematic’s key stakeholders and develop strategies and capabilities, which best position Dematic to continue to gain market share by anticipating and meeting the strategic objectives of our customers. The Human Resources BP will utilize creative problem-solving skills to drive efficiency in programs and processes needed to fuel the strategy and growth of the business through its people.

 

This role will serve as a trusted adviser to the key executives that she/he supports, utilizing experience to identify, create, and deliver innovative and pragmatic Human Resource solutions.  He/she will motivate the workforce to achieve goals within an environment of excellence by building exceptional engineering talent.  This role will be based at our Dallas, TX office.   

Dematic’s Human Resource Business partner role would include, but is not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Dig workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management to support Dematic’s growth plans.


  • Enabling the business by developing a strategic talent plan in partnership with Talent Acquisition and help guide critical talent decisions

  • Lead the planning and strategy for key business groups in the areas of recruitment, talent management, and organizational development.

  • Understand the business and talent priorities by driving business results through systemic organizational and talent strategies that are aligned to the business strategy.

  • Use metric and data to enable business leaders by identifying trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement.

  • Support the development of a strategy to recruit and retain diverse, world-class engineering and operations talent that will allow Dematic a competitive advantage over competition.

  • Partner with leadership team to implement effective strategies to enable meaningful change

  • Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and suggest ideas for improvement

  • Plan, organize and coordinate various projects, programs and committees related to employee relations and internal communications

  • Support HR and local leadership in action planning related to employee engagement.

  • Partner with other cross-functional teams to deliver important employee facing communication initiatives.

  • Build leadership and management capability to facilitate an open and inclusive environment that increases team member engagement.

  • Lead complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

  • Lead and facilitate progressive discipline, harassment, workplace violence and other HR related issues.

  • Champion initiatives that support the success of the organization’s growth and reinforce a collaborative, aligned, and engaged culture

  • Drive a people-focused culture by partnering with other HR Leaders in the business to discuss, plan, and execute Engagement Activities. Champion initiatives that support the success of the organization’s growth and reinforce a collaborative, aligned, and engaged culture.

  • Implement and sustain effective communication practices, including but not limited to Town Halls, New Hire Orientations, Benefits Meetings, Company Newsletters, etc.

  • Drive communications and actions relative to our OCTR, Performance Management Process, Compensation Planning, Engagement, Employee Relations, and otherwise as needed.


Qualifications


  • 8+ years of direct applicable Human Resource Generalist or business partner experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, warehousing, or similar, fast-paced, environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred focus in business, human resources, sociology, psychology.

  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred. 

  • Working knowledge or HR Law, Benefits, and payroll practices. 

  • Ability to quickly learn policies and practices with federal, state, and local legal requirements.

  • Demonstrated capabilities in non-professional and professional recruitment.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving engagement and reducing turnover. 

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse populations.

  • Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence.

  • Able to make quick, effective, and principles-based decisions.

  • Demonstrated customer focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) required.

  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience working effectively in a self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, complex, fast paced environment across all levels.

  • Some travel required, less than 10%.
