The Improvement Advisor position:



  • Independently provides health care consulting and technical assistance to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Contributes to development of programs, interventions, and other strategies to ensure achievement of deliverables.

  • Understands and effectively communicates Comagine Health's mission, vision, core values, strategic priorities, and levers to a variety of audiences, both external and internal.

  • Convenes multiple interdisciplinary stakeholders within or beyond the external health care system being improved to build consensus, shared vision, and action plans that contribute to successful process redesign.

  • Shares best practices and lessons learned to achieve improvement in health care delivery systems, processes, and outcomes.

  • Collaborates with internal team members as well as external partners/stakeholders to efficiently and effectively improve health care delivery systems, processes, and outcomes.

  • Documents recruitment effort, technical assistance, and other activities in CRM and other technology solutions; maintains personal proficiency and supports peers in leveraging system capabilities for contacts, accounts, memberships, and relationships in everyday work.

  • Execute assigned tasks and/or phases of project plan; monitor deployment of interventions to ensure program effectiveness, and report on progress.

  • Provide health care consulting and technical assistance to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with stakeholder professional associations, coalitions, community organizations and others to share information about project activity, plan joint initiatives, and leverage opportunities to share resources, best practices, and lessons learned.

  • Track IQC metrics.



Under general oversight of the Director of the service line (Community Engagement, Practice Transformation, or Patient Safety), the Improvement Advisor:



  • Is responsible for the meeting of contract deliverables and evaluation measures utilizing a strategic approach and supporting the creation of well-defined program plans that balance contract deliverables and the true intent of the work to ensure that the mission and vision of Comagine Health are advanced.

  • Partners with team members from other service lines with the goal of finding synergies between and collaborating across related goals and contracts and meeting the needs of the community.

  • Represents Comagine Health to clients and stakeholders, including associations, community partners, etc.

  • Supports business development activities to diversify funding sources Systemwide Quality Improvement Division






Required Skills



  • Familiarity with healthcare clinical and operational workflows

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and Visio (required)

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of quality improvement methods and tools.





Required Experience



  • Bachelor's degree, with a major in a related field

  • Master's degree or equivalent in public health, nursing, health care administration, public policy, or any other related field (preferred)

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience may be substituted

  • 4+ years of experience in health care, including quality improvement in health care settings, preferably in at least a part of the multi-state region.

  • 1+ years of project management experience (preferred)

  • Comprehensive understanding of health care reform initiatives/environment.
