Our established Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) practice focuses on enterprise wide change to particularly help drive EBITDA improvement. Our highly experienced experts successfully work with clients in strategic transformation situations, either where an activist investor is looking for accelerated results, or where a company is looking to sustainably improve their earnings and profitability goals. We also help our clients navigate complex merger integrations and carve-outs and work for corporations across several industries including Automotive, Manufacturing, Healthcare, IT, FMCG, retail and Energy. Our scope of services includes turnarounds in both consulting and interim management positions in various functions including General Management.

Purpose of the CTS Director role:

We are expanding our CTS practice in Paris and we are looking for a Director to join our highly experienced management team. The successful appointee will play a key part in both project delivery and continued business development.

This opportunity exists for an Operational Transformation specialist at the Senior Director level, against a backdrop of unprecedented growth. We are looking to hire a leader who has a successful track record with a blend of operational and consulting skills, an entrepreneurial approach and networks across the French region. Our ideal profile would be some years as consultant at the beginning of his career and a subsequent proven track records in contributing to a corporate success story.

Supported by the European CTS team, you will help build the profile and reputation of A&M France in the identification of performance improvement initiatives, covering both short- and longer-term transformational delivery. You will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution-focused business entrepreneur who is determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

A Director will also be able to sell additional work by successfully identifying client needs, facilitating the definition of the role and winning client trust. Ultimately, the successful appointee will be recognized by the client as the lead for value contributed on engagements and therefore build his/her own credible network of contacts and referral sources with clients, professionals and institutions. The role will report into the Head of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:
o Subsequent implementation of the opportunities through development and execution of a transformation plan tied closely to EBITDA and working capital improvement;
o Evaluating both cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities;
o Work with CTS clients through the full spectrum of complex issues that arise in operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics and purchasing;
o Contribute strongly to business development activity including developing successful pitches and selling, on from the initial "diagnostic" project phase into implementation work;
o Leading and managing teams across multiple workstreams and disciplines to drive a consolidated transformation for clients;
o Drive quick initial short-term gains in order to release cash to invest in longer transformation targets;
o Developing and implementing a new operating plan to improve the business operational performance;
o Conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, major operational issues, market position and options for restructuring;
o Develop and implement performance improvement solutions to solve under-performance on both cost and revenue lines;
o Turnaround Management, including business plan development, financial projections development and review, designing and implementing cash conservation guidelines and controls.

Requirements for this position:
The successful candidate will possess a proven consulting & industry background, gained within an Operational Restructuring environment, whether in the context of commercial / supplier agreements, closure of an entity/divestment of assets, negotiating with banks, or dealing with management teams or trade unions. You will need to be an expert in design and delivery of organizational change and transformational programs at C-suite and board level. In addition, this role will be a senior hire so is responsible for generating business development and proactive client relationship management. Essential & Desirable requirements below:

Essential:
o Education: graduation from a Tier 1 Business School (e.g. HEC, ESSEC, ESCP) or Engineer School (e.g. Polytechnique, Centrale, Mines) or another highly rated Institution;
o Must have extensive knowledge of delivering Turnaround and Restructuring Advisory Services (ideally in a client-site focused delivery model) in a top tier strategy firm, leading specialist and/or niche advisory firm or 'Big 4' consultancy;
o Proven track record in industry, ideally focused on Operational Restructuring including the optimization of all aspects of a business, ideally gained within an organisation with a manufacturing facility of significant size, scale and complexity
o A recent track record of successfully leading teams & delivering major transformational assignments at pre and post deal, with a proven record of achieving agreed benefits;
o Must have an ability and willingness to travel (potentially from Day 1) to client sites, across the UK & European regions, at short notice as part of the working week;
o Fluency to a business level in both verbal and written English & French is essential;
o Possess excellent financial & business and/or financial modelling skills with previous P&L accountability. Can conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base and major operational issues,
o A persuasive and effective communicator & stakeholder manager who can engage effectively with leadership teams in pressure situations and influence at Board level.

Desirable:
o MBA, MSc or a relevant financial qualification such as a CA preferred but not required;
o Additional European languages are highly desirable;
o C-Suite operating experience is preferable;
o Established senior network in the French market highly valued;

o Have a varied cross sector background including retail, travel, hospitality & leisure, industrials, telecommunications, energy, consumer goods, transport, business services and healthcare;

o International experience in at least 2 of the major global markets with Europe and the Americas being highly desirable.
