$21.00 + Per Hour ($20.00 Per Hour Base + $1.00 Per Hour for Perfect Attendance)

Ply Gem-The Paint Line Associates are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities.Paint Line Associates are expected to work in a safe, productive, and cooperative manner in accordance with Ply Gem policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. 
   Complete all tasks as assigned by CCL department leadership.
   
   


2. 
   Read, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed. Deviations from established procedures are permitted only with supervisor approval.
   
   


3. 
   Take prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards, minimize equipment downtime, reduce scrap generation, and correct deviations from quality standards.
   
   


4. 
   Complete required documentation including production records, quality checks, labels, etc. in a complete, legible, and accurate manner.
   
   


5. 
   Operate equipment to produce product in amounts as specified.
   
   


6. 
   Perform established quality checks on material at required intervals to ensure all product specifications are being met.
   
   


7. 
   Properly manage all wastes generated, including segregation of recyclable materials, and segregation of hazardous wastes by type.Take steps to minimize the amount of waste generated.
   
   


8. 
   Operate wastewater neutralization system and maintain waste water discharges within acceptable ranges specified in the facility's discharge permit.
   
   


9. 
   Accurately record production information used to prepare EPA reports.
   
   


10. 
    Properly transport hazardous wastes from the point of generation to designated accumulation areas or between designated accumulation areas. Prepare waste material for shipment offsite, including inspection, labeling, and marking of containers, and loading the vehicle.
    
    


11. 
    Performrequired inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas.
    
    

Roll Grinder

1. 
   Maintains the roll stores for both coating lines, including drive, idler and paint rolls.
   
   


2. 
   Grinds rolls for both lines, insuring they are free from defects that could cause inferior product and UPDT.
   
   


3. 
   Works with maintenance to get shafts and bearing repaired as needed.
   
   


4. 
   Maintains the roll storage area in the warehouse.
   
   


5. 
   Fills in on-line positions when needed.
   
   

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Graduate/GED

Experience:Previous manufacturing and/or maintenance experience preferred.

Knowledge:Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require.

Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player. Must be able to work quickly with product and able to lift weight amount as indicated on job specific functional capacity evaluation. Must have excellent manual dexterity and be able to concentrate for sustained periods. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with people.

Working Conditions:Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.

Equipment/Tools Used: Required personal protective equipment, tugger, overhead crane, carts, dollies, and some hand tools.
