Job Description:

The 4A's Accounting Manager reports to the EVP Finance & Treasurer and is based out of the New York City Office. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. Accounting manager responsibilities include, but not limited to overseeing various several general accounting functions which include, billing, accounts receivable, , and payroll accounting. We are looking for someone to work as part of our finance team.


Core responsibilities and tasks include:
? Ensuring data integrity for all accounting/financial processes
? Utilized SAGE Intaact software to eliminate manual processes
? Process or review various accounting activities
Accounts receivable - billing & collections
Manage and process payroll
Recording receipts and deposits
Reconciling bank and credit card statements
? Participates in the production of monthly management reporting
? Perform month-end and year-end close activities
? Create and analyze multiple liability and asset accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
? Documentation of processes and procedures for the finance and accounting function of the business
? Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation
Member Revenue, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable & Collections


? Responsible for billing all annual and quarterly membership dues invoices in netFORUM. Checks for accuracy by comparing excel schedule to netFORUM reports.
? Interfaces with agency membership and internal membership team on billing issues
? Maintains Membership Dues master excel schedules (old and new members) and provides monthly updates
? Distributes monthly reports of new and lost members calculating current year and annualized impact to ARM and Executive management
? Calculates forecast and budget impact as required
? Tracks members on suspension/terminations and sends out monthly reports on suspensions/terminations to membership and agency relations
? As part of cash collections responsibility, follows-up with delinquent members on a regularly scheduled basis via email, then telephonic
? Maintains Accounts Receivable aging outstanding schedule

Payroll
? Responsible for employee payroll processing for all employees through Kronos platform on a semi-monthly and ad hoc basis
? Collection, validation, and review of employee pay data provided by the HR department
? Collection of part-time hours from employees for payroll calculation
? Troubleshooting payroll policy and legal requirement issues with HR and Kronos contacts
? Construction, reconciliation, and general ledger recording of semi-monthly Kronos payroll interface
? Balancing and reconciliation of payroll data
? Performs various monthly intercompany billing, cash application and reconciliation processes

Other Receivables, Accounting & Analysis, Ad Hoc
? Responsible for any adjustments involving Events & Registrations in netFORUM
? Prepares Journal Entries for Receivables (including reconciliation to netFORUM), Miscellaneous Income, Seminars and Webinars activity, PayPal and credit card fees
? Analyze and maintain GL account schedules and worksheets for Dues, Reserve for Uncollectible Dues, Dues Collected in Advance, Prepaids and other miscellaneous receivable accounts
? Reconciles revenue of all regional and national events between NF and GL on a monthly basis
? Allocate credit card fees to associated accounts
? Maintains accounting software module. Close periods, create new GL accounts, set up new project codes & generate recurring entries (if any)
? Maintains, reconciles and sends financial spreadsheet and summary
? Tracks Seminars and Webinars & ELP income and expenses against the budget and presents the results to management via monthly meetings
? Prepares CA & DC States Sales and Use Tax return (yearly)
? Completes vendor and credit applications and distributes W-9s upon request (shares responsibility with Finance Manager).
? Assist in audit preparations including accruals, schedules for all regional and national events, other income analysis, (inter-company and other sources), and prepare folders for bank reconciliation files for the new fiscal year.

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in accounting
? Minimum of 8-10 years responsible accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports.
? Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills
? Exceptional organizational skills and other critical success factors
? Superior technical skills including, but not limited to MS Office applications, (especially Excel), Google suite
? Experience, exposure to SAGE Intaact Financial Systems, NetForum, Nimble (Association Management Systems) desired
? Experience in advertising or media industries desired
? Ability to deal with various personalities, cooperate with team members and work under pressure from clients.
? Primary values must include objectivity, accuracy, patience, meticulous attention to detail, goal-orientation, and quality output.
