Support Services Technician - Blair, Ne at Mutual of Omaha

Job Description:

Manages the daily workflow activities and processes to ensure efficiency, timeliness and quality guidelines are meeting business objectives.

Hours for role are: M-F 6:30am-3pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Maintain contact with USPS and local presort bureau, keeping abreast of postage changes that may affect corporate outgoing mail.
  • Coordinate outbound Corporate mailing. Analyze mailing and shipping requirements, transportation, industry trends, carrier options etc. resolve discrepancies in service and freight charges. Maintain business requirements as well as federal and state legal requirements regarding policies.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling expenses on a monthly basis while ensuring critical measures are being met. Assist management in preparing freight and postage budget. Coordinate postage expenditures and monitor charges from the USPS and Presort company. May audit and submit bills, charges, and service contracts for payment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Control all activities that impact Corporate inventory, including determining actions to be taken regarding quantity adjustments, price changes, inventory location control, return to stocks, return to venders, etc. Serve as final audit on all inventory transactions. Maintains and monitors inventory of critical supplies and work materials to meet customer driven deadlines.
  • Provides reporting on projects or assignments as required by management
  • May utilize sales Professional Access, iPipline website, and Peoplesoft applications to complete inventory requests.

  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
  • Proficient in the operation of a computer including software navigation and the use of a mouse. Include use of Microsoft programs in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written, communication, math, conceptualization, decision-making abilities, sound judgement, and research capabilities including investigation and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic printing, inserting, and data processing. Understanding of principals, practices and procedures.
  • Strong Communication and human relations skills.
  • Effective analytical ability, sound judgment, and strong decision-making ability.
  • Strong knowledge of postal regulations, and requirements.
  • Working knowledge of inventory controls and procurement experience.
  • Formal powered industrial truck (PIT) certification.
