This position is responsible for program management and instructional design for Internal Audit (IA) learning initiatives and will play a key role in executing IA's training strategy. This highly visible position will report to the head of the Learning & Talent Solutions team supporting Internal Audit. Critical to the role's success is building and maintaining relationships across IA, establishing a culture of engagement and influencing positive departmental change.
Responsibilities
Own the training design and maintenance of IA's baseline programs (Analyst/Intern training, experienced hire training, Auditor-in-Charge training and future iterations of these programs)
Partner with stakeholders/subject-matter experts in IA to advise on impactful learning methods and manage the delivery of various trainings on business critical initiatives
Represent IA on firmwide learning matters, ensuring IA's needs are captured in the development and rollout of programs, and driving the implementation of those programs in IA
n Partner with the firm's Digital Learning Solutions (DLS) group to build training content into eLearning modules, infographics, job aids, and other resources for the department
On occasion, facilitate training sessions on professional skills and general audit topics for a variety of audience sizes and experience levels, as well as through different formats (e.g., webcasts, in person sessions, computer-based training modules)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
A minimum of 6 years in a learning function for a large group
Proven track record in applying adult learning methodologies to training programs
Experience supporting a control-related function (e.g., Audit, Risk, Compliance) preferred
An ability to 'think outside of the box,' and continuously drive change to make both the function and department more effective
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong presentation skills
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Proven track record in building good working relationships with leaders, peers and stakeholders
A demonstrated sense of urgency in completing work on time without mistakes
Self-starter, able to independently research and network with peers firmwide to determine effective methods
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
Strong project management skills; must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently
Experience with computer-based training software (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline) preferred
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
