POSITION SUMMARY

DRT America is currently seeking a Loader/Unloaderfor our brand new facility located in Rincon, Georgia. The Loaders/Unloader will be responsible for loading and unloading bulk liquids to and from delivery vehicles; and maintaining proper controls over bulk liquid storage.The loaders will load bulk liquids into delivery vehicles using automatic pumping / transfer equipment, filtration equipment, monitoring control valves, meters, gauges and electronic data systems.


  • Working day shift, including some weekends, holidays and overtime.

  • Climb, bend, lift and perform a wide range of physical activities; including working at various heights including climbing various ladders and stairs to load containers, and work in various weather conditions

  • Follow all plant safety guidelines and policies, which includes the wearing of fire retardant clothing and respirators (note: must be clean shaven at all times on the job and be able to pass PFT test).

  • This position will be responsible for:

  • Matching loading schedule to bill of lading.

  • Weighing containers prior to product transfer.

  • Completing loading and unloading records.

  • Ensuring that containers are positioned and secured at proper loading racks.

  • Visually inspecting the containers to be involved in upcoming transfers in order to ensure that they are mechanically sound and there are defective equipment before loading or unloading.

  • Connecting loading arms/hoses.

  • Inspecting vessels for last product contained.

  • Loading containers according to loading instructions and using gauges and/or strapping tables.

  • Ensuring that outages or innages do not exceed Department of Transportation (DOT) certification for the particular vessel being loaded.

  • Checking weight of container after loading to ensure that gross weight does not exceed regulations.

  • Disconnecting loading arms/hoses, inspecting for any leaks and completing required paperwork prior to releasing the container.

  • Communicating with Production staff on any problems as they occur.

  • Maintaining and cleaning work area at all times.

  • Note: this is a day shift job with the opportunity to work overtime and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years' work experience in a manufacturing environment loading/unloading trucks.

  • Must have the ability to operator equipment such as pumps, flowmeters, filters, utilities (water and nitrogen).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Strong mechanical aptitude/knowledge

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a small team based environment
