Our organization is currently hiring an Inventory Control Specialist to work at our life science client facility. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to manage the inventory, maintain product data, rectify miscalculations, review and analyze the results of operations, report findings to management and make recommendations for improvement as necessary. The Inventory Clerk provides support to the operations team to maintain and optimize inventory of critical parts, instruments and consumable materials.
Job Description
Maintains a safe operating environment;
Provides technical support to the site personnel on materials and supplies.
Maintain inventory of critical parts, instruments, and consumables materials
Utilizes computerized inventory control system to identify, track and purchase materials and supplies.
Files all delivery and inventory receipts.
Create and track purchase orders
Perform a physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to reports
Distribute, PPE and supplies as necessary.
Assist technicians with identifying parts and materials needed.
Work with customers (Labs, EHS, Maintenance, etc) to make sure we stock the proper items.
Maintain inventory of spare parts for the equipment on site.
Other duties as assigned
Purchasing
Tracking inventory levels provide cost savings.
Submits orders for replenishment of inventory.
Follow up with vendors to make sure they received purchase orders.
Follow up on backorders and get ETA for parts to advise our customers.
Reviews shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
Notes any items back ordered on tracking log.
Enters the counts into inventory tracking documents.

Inventory
Manage and adjust minimum and maximum amounts for parts, PPE and other materials.
Writes up inventory reports detailing any overstock or missing items.
Presents inventory reports at company meetings.
Organizes inventory in stock room.
Review to make sure parts have up-to date MSDS.
Adjust storage bins and change in CMMS, label storage bins.
Assist Maintenance personnel with locating items.
May perform duties in other job classifications as directed.

Qualification
Qualified individual must have at least two years of related experience.

High school diploma or equivalent
