Overview

The Manager, Application Delivery will have overall responsibility for IT supported applications. They will additionally be responsible for the management and growth of the application delivery engineers on their team. They should be able apply their experience and understanding of SDLC an continuous improvement to ensuring their team maintains applications that are stable and responsive and meet the needs of the business. They should be able to offer recommendations on improvements and replacements for applications to both the Chief Information Officer and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages and mentors a team of Application Deliver Engineers.
1. Responsible for developing programs and procedures as they relate to application management.


2. Provide regular updates on the status of applications and application projects to the CIO.


3. Works closely with other IT managers to coordinate cross functional activities.


4. Assist in the planning and execution of upgrades, patching, configuration, and customization of applications.


5. Prepare and deliver reports to the CIO and senior leadership on the application landscape and the long-term application roadmap.


6. Ensures the application team completes all duties as required.

OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complies with all safety rules and cooperates in the fullest in the promotion of safety and safe work habits, to include the reporting of any unsafe conditions or acts. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis.


2. Complies with all applicable MIC and Hawaii Gas policies and procedures.


3. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner; performs housekeeping duties as required and/or instructed. Works in a safe and responsible manner.


4. Performs all other related duties as instructed by supervisor/manager; may be required to participate in project planning and other high-level tasks not directly related to the job description.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management.


• 2-3 years of application team management.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management and 4-5 years of application team management.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

None

Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

ITIL V3

Working Conditions/Environment:
