General Summary:

The Material Handler position is responsible for proper raw material receiving, stocking, to ensure the production floor is fully supplied with required parts and various other material handling functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Confirm to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment

  • Locate and stage necessary components as needed throughout the assembly process

  • Unload trucks with forklift, check and receive material in the computer (SAP), put material away, empty dumpsters, cycle count, issue bulk tag material, reorganize point of use as needed, and investigate any parts issues that may come up.

  • Maintain daily housekeeping (5S)

  • Learning and training other positions within the same labor grade

Minimum Qualifications:


  • HS Diploma or GED, required

  • Between 6-12 months of prior Material Handling experience, preferable

  • ERP /computer experience preferred (SAP)

  • Safely operate a forklift in tight spaces

  • Ability to distinguish the various thickness and types of material

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail working with numbers/counting inventory

  • Flexible and successful in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively

Physical Demands & Travel Requirements:


  • Must lift up to 75 lbs. on a routine basis

  • Standing for a minimum of 8 hours per day

  • Continuous lifting, pulling, bending, etc.
