Position Summary:


The Product Line Manager (PLM) - Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) is a global position responsible for driving the AI/ML strategy, development and commercialization across Carestream's product lines. This individual must demonstrate clear strategic thinking, a strong capability to work cross-functionally across organizations, and an aptitude for driving product management lifecycles. The PLM - AI/ML will manage the requirements for AI/ML capabilities implemented into Carestream's portfolio and will be responsible to build, incubate, and scale capabilities, products, and solutions that increase customer success, optimize corporate financials, and distinguish company expertise in the Medical Industry through the use of AI/ML. It is expected that the PLM will:

* Work closely with other product and functional leaders to develop an AI/ML strategy, roadmap and overall program execution across Carestream's product lines.

* Play a highly collaborative role working closely with internal teams and external partners to shape and deliver AI/ML solutions that meets customer needs.

* Promote the use of industry leading AI/ML trends and new data management technologies to accelerate solution deliverables to our customers.

* Be a thought leader through engagement in industry forums, development of publications, presentations, and corporate representation in executive industry and policy councils.

* Act as a subject matter expert during the iterative analysis, design, and development phases of delivered solutions.

* Manage the release of AI/ML capabilities across Carestream's portfolio to ensure continued innovation, and financial optimization.


Position Responsibilities:


* Drive selection and deployment of Carestream's organic, as well as partnership offerings, to build out a global AI/ML platform.

* Actively manage and prioritize the AI/ML road map and backlog to drive execution strategies to ensure the successful market launch of high impact solutions in a timely manner.

* Develop business cases, market requirements, and product definitions through a diligent "outside-in" Voice of Market and Voice of Customer approach; develop actionable product AI/ML strategies to take advantage of identified differentiators and trends.

* Capture Voice of the Customer (VOC) throughout the product development phase(s); ultimately translating solution concepts into specific technical deliverables and integration.

* Lead product development process activities associated with all AI/ML solutions to ensure high impact business case development, senior management alignment/sponsorship, and successful market launches.

* Develop business cases for new and follow-on AI/ML products and/or components; Make priority and trade-off decisions for when/how solutions will be delivered to market.

* Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of our AI/ML solutions; Coordinate input from global teams across different geographic areas worldwide.

* Coordinate external customer engagement for iterative feedback on new AI/ML concepts being implemented by the team. Interface with external customers as well as cross-functional teams to further understand and define opportunities within the assigned product(s).

* Develop competitive intelligence on AI/ML products features & functions; bring a deeper understanding of the AI/ML market/industry, our competition, and user requirements to the broader product team.

* Interact with the portfolio teams to communicate the need, validate the deliverables, storyboard and gain buy-in from the stakeholders.

* Create differentiated messaging that drives demand; build impactful content that communicates our unique value propositions and show our global sales force and channel partners how to communicate that value.

* Shape the industry's view on Carestream's AI/ML offerings through development of white papers, blogs, bylines; engage with customers to develop success stories and case studies.

* Participate in or lead user conferences, trade shows, demos, customer/partner meetings, press tours, and other industry events.

* Communicate current state of the business and future visions of market participation to business and senior leadership teams.

* Work with other functional areas of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, strategic sourcing, service and installation, finance, legal to provide direction, and collaborate on all new AI/ML products and product enhancements.


Required Skills & Education:


* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Business Development required; advance degree a plus.

* 3 years' experience in the Medical Device/Healthcare industry and analytics/AI required.

* 2 years' full cycle product experiences (prototype to production) deploying AI/ML technologies.

* Technical aptitude plus domain expertise of AI/ML technologies.

* Working knowledge on the competitive landscape including, competitive players in key countries, business models/pricing and key product features /components.

* Working experience in Medical Device industry including engineering, marketing or manufacturing functions.

* Experience making priority decisions on key product/portfolio attributes (features, manufacturing cost, quality, time to market, integration timelines.

* International sales/service/marketing experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to coordinate input from regional teams; experience working with teams in different time zones.

* Ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external customers to take products to market, and monetize them.

* Experience evangelizing product vision, strategy, and feature decisions across the organization.

* Detail oriented with strong follow through; Proactive, self-organized/directed, independent.

* Ability to create a winning strategy by thorough analysis of internal capabilities, system requirements, and market needs.

* Effective communication/presentation skills - written and verbal (with all levels of the organization, across multiple regions/cultures).
