The Product Manager for Illumina reproductive health will work with other members of the team to manage on-market products, including the VeriSeq NIPT Solution.
Responsibilities:
Business Planning & Strategy
Own and communicate the market forecast for instruments and consumables to our operations and supply chain teams
Manage customer needs by identifying and implementing solutions to barriers during customer onboarding and transition to internalized solutions
Own roadmap and strategy for customer conversions to newer products
Market
Understand the general market dynamics and trends at a global level
Have a clear understanding of the competitive landscape
Identify opportunities to partner in order to meet customer needs
Product Requirements
Collect VOC from customers and internal stake holders.
Collaborate with the sustaining development team to generate user requirements and design inputs for ongoing product improvements
Ensure alignment of VOC requirements, and provide additional needs justification to include VOC requirements into the product roadmap
Product Commercialization Process
Work closely with the global commercial team to ensure every release meet the commercialization process where needed
Monitor product releases to ensure success in the market
Work closely with commercial team to move strategic accounts forward
Train support organization on product changes
Train sales on target customers, how and when to position, and value props
Convey defects and usage issues back to the sustaining development team
Work closely with technical writers to ensure user guides are available at release
Requirements:
Must have 4+ years of experience working with genomics technology
Preference for experience with clinical or IVD products
Flexibility to shift priorities as the needs of our customers and markets change
Must be able to manage a broad-based product offering, serving the needs of varying and global customers
Must be able to communicate requirements and negotiate priorities with both Marketing and sustaining Development groups
Must have excellent written, communication, and presentation skills, with excellent time and program management skills
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or Life Science
MBA or advanced degree is desirable
