Statistician I

Metabolon, headquartered in Research Triangle Park, NC, is a diagnostic products and services company offering the industry’s leading biochemical profiling platform. Due to our rapidly growing services business, Metabolon is seeking a Statistician I to be an integral member of our research team. The team member in this position will report to the Director of Statistics and Data Management and will be responsible for the analyses of standard and commercial projects. The successful candidate will have experience with basic statistical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses of standard commercial projects with minimal supervision


• Responsible for clear and concise documentation of analyses of each study


• Will assist project management team with statistical graphics

Qualifications

• BS Degree or MS degree in statistics (MS preferred)


• Clear understanding of basic statistical concepts (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, linear regression, multiple testing)


• Basic knowledge of experimental design (one-way design, paired data, two-way factorial designs, repeated-measures designs)


• Ability to clearly communicate statistical concepts to scientists


• Capability to program in R is an asset


• Self-starter with good work ethic
