Job Summary
Support professional who assists processors with reviewing title commitment pre closing. Daily tasks will generally include researching the specific details of a title, working with the title companies and others to correct issues, and reporting research findings to processors and/or closers. Focus will be attention to detail, research and analytical abilities. Experience with property law and knowledge of terminology and other technical aspects relating to property titles, including examining for preventing risk to the bank and the borrower.

Job Accountabilities

• Research, analyze, and evaluate real estate records and examine titles to provide support when determining the historical ownership of properties.


• Search records using various county software, websites and courthouses. Summarize legal or insurance documents.


• Examine and verify titles. Update title and judgment searches.


• Analyze chain of title and preparation of reports outlining title-related matters.


• Review appraisal report and supplemental documentation to determine accuracy of report.


• Communicate with internal and external customers to explain appraisal product findings. Maintain detailed records of the resolution process.


• Coordinate the communication process between various title companies and processors to facilitate final resolution.

Education

• High School or equivalent combination of education and experience Required

• 2-4 years Title examining experience Required
