Special Projects Photographer, WFTS
Scripps is seeking a Special Projects Photographer for its ABC affiliate, WFTS in Tampa Fl. This person must be adept at combining visual footage, audio sound effects, visual graphics, natural sound and musical soundtracks to enhance stories.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Capture and edit visual content for special projects and multiple platforms
Work closely with newsroom personnel to create and develop stories
Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to microwave live truck, video camera, live streaming video equipment
Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
Drive company vehicle for business purposes
Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's Web sites
Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Associates degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years of special projects shooting and editing experience
Valid driver's license with no more than four (4) points in the past 36 months, in accordance with station policy, and proof of insurability (must carry liability limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident/$50,000 property).
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Experience in using editing software including Final Cut 10, Adobe Premiere and After Effects
Minimum of 2 years of news special projects shooting and editing
Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to meet editing deadlines
Ability to self-motivate with little to no supervision
Proficient in troubleshooting camera gear
Work experience with DSLR cameras are a plus
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
