Essential Functions


  • Maintain and operate solids control equipment as per customer specifications

  • Troubleshoot and repair of equipment

  • Assisting with the rigging up and rigging down of solids control equipment

  • Maintain accurate service logs, customer paperwork and saftey documents as per customers' specifications

  • Ability to travel to various site locations

  • Stay on client's location as scheduled to ensure solids control equipment functions properly

  • Oversee the mechanical/electrical processes which are commonly utilized with solids control equipment and processes

  • Operate the equipment according to specifications as directed by the mud engineer or drilling supervisor

  • Travel to rig site locations for setting-up, tearing down, monitoring and maintaining centrifuges and centrifuge related equipment

  • Perform pre and post job equipment inspections, complete preventative maintenance procedures and operate equipment as per customers' standards

  • Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Perform all work in accordance with client established quality standards and safety procedures

  • Ability to react professionally and efficiently based on Customer needs

  • Demonstrate safe and professional work practices at all times

  • Able to remain alert during long hours of work and in a variety of weather conditions

  • Deal professionally and efficiently with difficult and varied personalities

Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 3 years experience. Broad knowledge of completion operations and relationships to drilling fluids, displacements and spacers. Broad understanding of down hole tools and functional relationship to fluid properties and products. Broad knowledge of solids control equipment, screens and fluid relationships to Drilling Waste Management processes. Able to complete reports using applicable software applications. Functional computer skills, demonstrates effective problem solving skills. Ability to plan and manage brines and displacements. Must be able to run displacement software as required. Has management skill sets to lead service provision with client and other rig site service companies Position Summary Under limited supervision, provides onsite services to the client by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of the completion and/or stimulation fluid and subsequent displacements, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
