What you will do

You will be the main point of contact to the Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) Business and IT Architecture for enterprise Data Migration solutions with a focus on Data Migration tool management.

Leveraging your excellent interpersonal skills, you will establish strong working relationships with both technical and non-technical members of staff, be sensitive when introducing new technologies and methodologies to established groups and products, while also having the conviction to push through technologies that are in the best interests of the company.

How you will do it

• Act as a primary point of contact for SAP Data Migration strategy, architecture, and governance of Data transfer.


• Serve as the lead Solution/Technical Architect and subject matter expert for customer experience data solution across multiple data sources.


• Liaise between project teams across locations and the Customer.


• Perform requirement analysis, create architectural models, and provide high-level effort estimation.


• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect and client IT team to establish and implement strategic initiatives. Make recommendations and assess solution proposal.


• Assess impacts of proposed solution and the need to engage resources needed to modify configuration or code to support a solution implementation.


• Configure and administer the Data Tool Components (Talend, Informatica, BODS, etc.).


• Take a lead role in maintaining and enforcing data transfer coding and development standards and provide architecture and design consulting for interface development.


• Perform Production Steady State Support across projects for Data Migrations.


• Define strategy for enhancing interface development processes and process.


• Contribute to process improvements for data maintenance and production support.


• Contribute to defining and enhancing data development processes.


• Clearly communicate technology issues, plans and solutions from both a business perspective and a technical perspective providing pros and cons for recommended solutions.


• Manage and direct the work in the technical areas of the SAP COE, software upgrades, hardware migrations, and existing and new projects/implementations.


• Manage incoming technical requests from functional teams.


• Manage work through internal shared service organizations (Enterprise Data Center) and external 3rd parties.


• Mentor and train Data stewards to perform data duties.


• Design, develop, and manage complex technical project plans for project and support operations.


• Develop and modify SAP technical strategies, lead problems resolutions and document issues and resolutions.


• Lead technical projects through strong planning, project management skills, and directing work through a matrixed delivery and support organization.


• Must have excellent speaking, written, and presentation skills to articulate SAP technical strategies to leaderships and projects proposals.


• Excellent analytical and solution design skills required to design solutions for various functional, technical requirements, and enhancements.


• Research SAP new data technologies and technologies trends (Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Database, Operating Systems, etc.).


• Manage to SLAs and consistently achieve pre-defined metrics for projects and problem resolutions.

What we look for

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field


• Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments


• 8+ years IT experience with Data migration tools


• 2+ years of experience on Data Integration tools and technologies solution design and documentation


• Proficient on handling XML Inbound and Outbound in Talend


• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience with Data tools such as Talend, Informatica, Bods IDSS, etc.


• Minimum of 4 end-to-end data migration implementations


• Proven experience in performance and availability monitoring


• Experience in designing data transfer solutions


• Experience in preparing test scripts and test cases to validate data and maintaining data quality


• Well-organized and capable of prioritizing numerous priorities


• Excellent people skills with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships


• Strong oral and written English language skills


• Good knowledge of integration technologies


• Experienced with training for data migration

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field


• Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services will be an added advantage


• Experience in the Manufacturing - Consumer Products industry


• SAP interface architecture design experience with large corporation implementation projects


• Informatica experience


• Talend administration and execution


• SAP SLT and Business Objects Data Services


• Develop and maintain policies, standards and best practices for all Data migration matters related to SAP and Oracle ERP Architecture
