In a non-sworn capacity, provides support to Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers (FRLEOs) assigned to protect the facility, staff, and tenants. Under immediate or general supervision, performs a variety of dispatch duties for emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Dispatches FRLEOs to calls for service and operates a variety of security related systems and communications equipment such as access control, video surveillance, radio, telephone, and security related computer applications. May perform other peripheral duties such as assisting with building evacuations, making access cards and/or taking reports for certain types of calls for service.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitors and coordinates FRLEO response to alarms, following local response protocols until the alarm or situation is resolved. Monitors the facility for safety and security violations via security systems (video surveillance and access control) and reports findings.
Controls pedestrian and vehicle access to the facility from the Control Room utilizing security systems.
Prepares logs, inputs data into security applications, completes daily reports, processes requests for access control card, performs fingerprint and background checks utilizing National Crime Information Center (NCIC) application.
May process, create, and/or program ID/proximity card badges, complete routine reports for non-emergency calls for service, assist with evacuations and other crisis response-related efforts and/or perform fingerprinting and background checks utilizing NCIC.
Maintains proficiency in First Aid, CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator), by successfully completing in-service training in these areas.
Additional assignments may include special projects and other duties as needed by management.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Two to five years preferred
