Position Description:
This position is a professional position located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Under the direction of the Director of the Human Resources, this individual will handle the recruiting activities, maintain the performance management system, assist with the corporate safety program and work on special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
+ Assist Director of HR with daily activities including but not limited to: Recruiting, On-Boarding, Staffing Reports, Employee Reports, Work related Programs/Seminars, Disciplinary Actions, Presentations, etc.
+ Coordinate the Performance Management tool with the local site management. Educates the local management the process, and assist the Director of Human Resources with getting the local team through the process within the announced deadlines. Troubleshoot problems, provide timely reporting during all phases.
+ Maintain a consistent spreadsheet of the stats needed for Headcount Reporting. In addition, produce statistics for various other needs of the Director of HR.
+ Assist with fulfilling recruiting needs including but not limited to resumes searches, working directly with Leadership, job fairs, preparing offer letters/approvals, making sure offer letters go out in a timely manner, setting up interviews, and any additional recruiting needs.
+ Assist with open enrollments and new hire enrollments for the all AMETEK Employee Benefits Programs – Health &Welfare, 401(k), educational assistance, etc.
+ Assist with Job Descriptions by writing descriptions when needed, speaking to managers to get their input, and providing any additional support to the primary manager of the job descriptions
+ Provides onboarding/orientation for new hires.
+ Have a proficient knowledge of the HRIS System and be able to navigate through the system and answer questions from both employees and supervisors.
+ Assist the Environmental Health and Safety Manager with tasks that involve Corporate Health and Safety and participate in the local safety committee.
+ Ad hoc special assignments to assist the Director of HR and DVP of HR.
+ Assist with assigned Leave of Absence cases, understand the LOA/FMLA system/process.
+ Attend Monthly conference calls with Divisional HR staff.
+ Any and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
+ Salary Exempt position – hours over 40 can be expected from time to time.
+ Travel: 10%

Position Requirements: Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited four-year College or University. 5 years of Human Resources related experience required.

Other Qualifications:
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and possess a high level of initiative, integrity, strong work ethic, excellent communication and analytical skills. SHRM-SCP / CP preferred but not required. Ability to work with all levels of Employees. Experience with Global organization helpful.
