thyssenkrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst -Supply Chain in Alpharetta, GA.

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work in their GPI Business Systems department supporting Supply Chain Inventory, and Procurement Management systems. Individuals in the Business Systems Analyst role are responsible for supporting the relationship between the thyssenkrupp business segments and the tkE GPI application development and support organization.

This role will support thyssenkrupp Elevator's business by analyzing, evaluating, and refining processes while preparing for the implementation of new world class business systems.

This person will collect, analyze, develop, document, communicate business requirements, and support user testing to achieve business goals. They collaborate with IT professionals to determine if appropriate internal or external solutions currently exist, or whether new solutions are required and feasible. They take a broad perspective to determine how such solutions will impact existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration of new systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Map full business processes and designs operational process flow. Facilitate group input to draft proposals for process improvements. Identify resource implications. Implement process improvement recommendations within the context of overall business processes.

  • Collaborate with other IT groups to determine if solutions currently exist, or whether new solutions are required and feasible.

  • Involve key players in identifying operating needs, issues and solutions. Propose technical plans that are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements. Lead actions to enhance business function standards and performance with the participation of business and technical partners.

  • Provide support to the business through reporting and data analysis to measure performance against KPIs and identify opportunities to improve organization performance.

  • Provide support to the relationship between the thyssenkrupp business segments and the tkE GPI organization.

  • Develop a solid understanding of the client's existing business processes, key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and related technologies.

  • Conduct discussions with all levels of colleagues and peer groups in ways that support troubleshooting and problem solving. Seek and share relevant information, opinions, and judgments. Handle conflict empathetically. Explain the context of interrelated situations, ask probing questions, and solicit multiple sources of advice prior to acting.

  • Foster collaboration and respect among team members by addressing elements of the group process that impedes the group from reaching its goal. Engage the "right people" in the team by matching individual capabilities and skills to the team's goals.

  • Identify potential areas of conflicting priorities and vulnerability in achieving standards. Review department's progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets and project milestones.

  • Consider and adhere to Internal Control Standards with current and potential business solutions

What we look for
Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of Supply Chain and Procurement processes with a focus on inventory management and warehouse management and with a focus on integration points to with finance, manufacturing and logistics applications.

  • Requires 5-7 years of internal / external IT experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or another related field. (Or equivalent work experience)

  • Understanding of advanced or extended functionality included Planning, Warehouse Automation (barcoding, conveyors, automated picking, etc), and Logistics planning and management.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.

  • Ability to convey information clearly and simply to senior leadership and business stakeholders. This includes good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills that help facilitating the sharing of information between people.

  • Preference given to candidates with working knowledge of the existing technical platforms in the environment, including Oracle and Ariba applications.

  • Knowledge of the US Field organization, systems, process or procedures a plus.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.

  • Ability to translate between technical and business language

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management to assess business requirements, and to plan, manage and deliver stable, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to define and organizes tasks, responsibilities and priorities. Take responsibility for timely completion of projects and activities.

  • Experience with reporting and data analytics applications such as MicroStrategy, Microsoft Power BI, or similar applications preferred but not required.

  • High awareness to recognize internal and external clues to help guide future direction and realize opportunities for the organization.

  • Willingness to travel.


Accountabilities:

  • Thorough understanding of systems to perform requirements analysis and testing based on requirements.

  • Define problem statements, analyze process, system, data and people issues and present solution options for requirements.

  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned components of the detailed project/plan.

  • Ability to work with limited management direction.
