S3, Inc. is a woman owned small business founded in 1991, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, that provides technical, programmatic, and logistics services to US Department of Defense, other US Government Agencies, and Partner Nation militaries, co-located with Government requirements. S3 has a wholly owned subsidiary, KBFS, that provides aviation pilot training, heavy lift, aircraft maintenance, and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications. The company operates under an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified quality management system.

S3 Inc. is seeking a P urchasing/Subcontracts Analyst to be part of our Contracts team at our headquarters in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL. This is an Entry level position.

Position Description: Under general supervision of Contracts, the Purchasing/Subcontracts Analyst researches and reviews specifications and documentation required to process requests. Secures estimates of service, material, equipment and production costs. Reviews requirements ensuring contract and/or subcontract legal requirements and customer specifications are included in request for quotes. Structures purchase order terms to overall company business strategy. Maintains precise records in accordance with policy and ISO-9001 requirements. Leads ISO annual audit of purchasing records. Experience in travel regulations and travel coordination, JTR for CONUS and OCONUS and export/import compliance. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have experience with Deltek CostPoint and knowledgeable with the use of SharePoint. Must have experience working with Federal Contractor Vendors. Experience working for a company who has ISO:9001 or similar Quality Management System is preferred. Job functions include issuing purchase orders in support of U.S. Government contracts and corporate day-to-day operations in accordance to the established corporate ISO Quality Operational Procedures; utilizing generally accepted purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures; using experience and good sound judgment to set and manage priorities, and, develop plans and accomplish goals with minimal supervision. The employee will also work with stakeholders to facilitate resolution of complex issues. Experience with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) compliance is a plus.

Experience/Skills Required: 2 years post degree experience in headquarters business operation purchasing department of a federal corporate contractor. Must have experience with Deltek Costpoint and be knowledgeable with SharePoint. Must have experience working with Federal Contractor Vendors. Should have experience with travel regulations, JTR for CONUS and OCONUS, and export/import compliance. Experience working for a company operating under ISO-9001 or a similar Quality Management System is preferred. Experience coordinating travel is a plus.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, or, a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of equivalent experience in purchasing.
