Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time position in our Elko, Nevada office.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Involvement in the design of electrical power supply systems in oil, gas, mining, water and tailings pipeline projects Contribute to projects with a major focus on project delivery, identifying potential problems and managing client expectations Prepare specifications, reports, calculations, and technical evaluations Support technical and project execution activities such as electrical equipment procurement packages, preparing project estimates, etc. Liaise with internal and external clients regularly to ensure project objectives are being managed and achieved in alignment with expectations Provide direction and markups to CAD drafters on equipment layouts, single line diagrams, connection diagrams, grounding, conduit, etc. Mentor junior engineers
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in an EPC environment
Effective communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of all phases of engineering (conceptual stage through to detail design)
Experience with power system analysis, grounding design and lighting design software applications
Desired:
Professional Engineer's licensure in Nevada or other states where Golder operates Previous electrical engineering experience on mining and/or water treatment projects
