City Experiences is seeking an Events & Sales Coordinator for our CIty Ferry operation in Pensacola.

About the Opportunity:


The Event and Sales Coordinator is directly responsible for event development and coordination, promotions of the ferry operations in Pensacola, Florida, as well as the development of specialty projects designed to increase business. This individual is also required to keep abreast of current industry events, all while providing an exceptional customer service experience and providing support as needed for cruises, charters, and specialty events.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 



  • Safety First. Be an active advocate of, and participant in, the HMS Safety Culture. Safety shall remain the highest priority at all times.

  • Remain true to and champion the Company’s Core Values and Code of Conduct.

  • Perform sales & project development: appear as spokesperson for advertisements, attend trade shows, visit networking events, and attend special promotional events.

  • Assist with research and preparation of Annual Sales Plan.

  • Generate annual scheduling for: ferry service, specialty cruises, marketing’s graphics distribution, and community calendar promotional information.

  • Oversee Theme Cruise Operations; design theme development, generate promotional text for each cruise, and communicate cruise ideas to onboard staff for event execution.

  • Consider and conform to contract requirements and restrictions.

  • Coordinate with operations to ensure no conflicts exist.

  • Utilize ticketing system to generate content for online newsletter and blog; troubleshoot site errors and adjust emergency changes related to closings.

  • Create and produce information for ticketing site, landing signage, and answering system.

  • Present professional level of customer service and appearance to all clients, both internal and external.

  • Must work well with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Assist with phone duties, including weekend phone duties.

  • Oversee all contracts, invoicing, and negotiations related to charter operations and services including, the communication of charter details to onboard staff for event execution.

  • Utilize and update all forms of social media for the ferry operation in order to ensure the communication of a quality experience, as well as to promote the operation.

  • Acquire onboard promotional material, as required.

  • Create reports in various programs to include charter info, surveys, ridership, and ability to present reports/info upon request.

  • Distribute the master calendar and maintain updates.

  • Maintain calendar coordination with city parks, nearby neighborhoods, etc.

  • Track event success/profitability using cost evaluation; research effective methods if necessary

  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:



  • Exceptional customer service skills; comfortable de-escalating customer concerns and complaints

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively interact with the public

  • Ability to solve problems and use both deductive and inductive reasoning.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment

  • Ability to process calculations frequently and continuously

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Good analytical and mathematical skills

  • Familiarity with all forms of social media and marketing via social media
