Responsibilities

The Director of Global Commercial Finance will report to and support the Vice President of Global Commercial Finance in commercial decision making, partnering with the Global Commercial Leadership Team (GCLT) in driving global business development and vertical market strategy.  The ideal candidate will have strong communication and relationship management skills that are essential when coordinating globally and making recommendations to the management of the company.  They will be a strong change-agent and implement changes quickly to drive improved results.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Direct the Commercial Finance Organization focusing on global refinements and improvements in global pre-contract activities

  • Order Intake (New Business) Controlling, improving forecasting accuracy & performance coordinating globally and directing OI activities for Pacing Calls, STRAP and Budget

  • Provides visibility to global Order Intake performance analytics including won / lost reporting by customer, vertical, internal quote trends and actual vs. budget/forecast on won projects, updates at QBR meetings

  • Drives improvements and transparency to global pipeline analytics, customer and vertical market strategy, velocity, quality and global consistency

  • Directs the process timeline and global consolidation of the AOP, strategic and operational planning, forecasting, strategic projects and monthly/quarterly/annual results for the GCLT

  • Supports GCLT in modeling financial impacts and outcomes as requested

  • Work in collaboration with wider finance leadership team to drive optimum margin and growth

  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization

  • Provide in-depth analysis of risk and opportunities, sales performance, pricing trends and business direction

  • Identify trends and analyze key metrics and presents findings to VP of Global Commercial Finance and other members of senior management

  • Develop and/or mentor one or more financial analysts

  • Partner with key stakeholders to solicit feedback to develop and implement step level improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity of reporting

  • Identify and implement improvements to monthly/quarterly variance analysis of results against the AOP and close visibility gap

  • Improve on tools utilized by site management to run business; Recommend and implement corrective actions


Qualifications

Education:

Finance or similar degree is required.  Advanced degree preferred.  

Knowledge / Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of experience leading a finance team, with global experience a plus

  • Demonstrated servant leadership traits and business partnership successes

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to lead through influencing peer and superior levels

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation and presence

  • Ability to pragmatically generate multiple reporting views on financial data a plus (e.g., per region, per vertical, per solution, per Global Account, …)

  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and coaching team members through complex situations

  • High standard of accuracy and precision; extremely organized; Ability to balance attention to detail with expeditious execution

  • Available for occasional travel, including international
