Job Description
Position Summary:
The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a Data Engineer associated with the Hanlon Financial Systems Center. The Data Engineer will be a member of the staff at the School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology, reporting to the Director of the Hanlon Laboratories. The Data Engineer will work closely with teaching and research faculty using the lab to ensure that the lab provides reliable, secure service, and retains the ability to import new tools and capabilities as required. The position will also involve direct involvement with faculty, staff, and students and will represent the lab to visitors and outside partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the Data Engineer is to build, operate, administer, and maintain a state-of-the-art analytics lab supporting educational and research activities, related to data analytics with advanced software and hardware for management, analysis, and visualization of data at scale. The Data Engineer will work closely with the Systems Administrator of the Hanlon Laboratories to ensure that data is well-integrated with the hardware capabilities of the Lab.
