Provider Communications Copywriter - Work at Home Connecticut at Cigna

Job Description:

As part of the Provider Communications team, this position is responsible for writing and editing various communications meant for provider and Cigna employee audiences, including general notifications, collaterals, presentations, articles, and internal readiness materials to support provider-facing staff and matrix partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Support the overall provider communication strategy that positions Cigna competitively in the industry.

  • Provide full editorial support to communications plan management function within the team.

  • Coordinates with manager and Provider Communications team members to develop internal and provider communications that affect provider-facing teams and/or Cigna's provider network, including those related to Medicare.

  • Supports manager and Business Communications Advisor as a copywriter with a goal to create communications outlined in communications plans.

  • Consult with communications team members as needed to ensure communication development objectives are met.

  • Create and review provider communications (e.g., Network News, ID card brochure, reference guide, website content, templates).

  • Write effective internal and external communications that provide meaningful, actionable information that supports and ensuring timely, successful delivery of these materials.

  • Works with Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations on projects as needed.

  • Review relevant communication plans (audiences, positioning, messages, vehicles, timing or research) in order to write, edit, proof, and revise the full range of materials (print and electronic talking points, letters, articles) to reflect Cigna branding and text standards (Corporate Communications, Words We Use, provider text standards, and writing guides).

  • Develop content for collateral including special pamphlets, newsletters, and internal and external presentations to ensure consistent messaging and Cigna branding in all communications for internal and provider audiences.

  • Contribute to Provider Communications writing tools (e.g., text standards and writing guides).

  • Use established editorial team tools and systems to track assignments and gauge capacity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS


  • Experience with writing customer-facing (provider) materials, including online content.

  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Understanding of various communications methods and best uses (e.g., digital, print, web, etc.)

  • Experience adhering to text standards and style guides.

  • Organization and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Excellent oral communication skills.

  • Solid creative-thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously.

  • Proven ability to generate ideas.

  • Marketing and or communication experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
