Lab Tech - Purina Animal Nutrition

As our Lab Tech in our animal feed manufacturing plant, you will be heavily involved in product quality testing and supporting our Quality programs.

Specific focus' include:

• Testing of ingredients to ensure they are within specifications


• Lot track and trace procedures to aide in FIFO (first-in-first-out) usage and product retrieval steps if needed


• Assisting in sequencing reviews and yield variance investigations


• Daily drug inventory


• Communicating concerns about testing results


• Maintaining the product label inventory


• Be a member of the safety committee

You will also provide back-up support to our Administrative Coordinator during her lunch and when she is out of the office. This will include data entry, processing invoices and payables, purchasing, and general administrative support.

Your hours would be Monday - Friday beginning at 7:30 or 8:00 and would be an 8 hour work day. Also you would be required to work a half day one Saturday a month for inventory.

Education and Experience (Required):

High school diplomaand 2+ years lab experience

Competencies (Required):

Computer systems knowledge

Detail orientation

Ability to work in a team environment
