Wholesale Credit Risk Stress is part of the Wholesale Credit Solutions Group (WCSG) and is responsible for the methodology and governance of the Firm's stress testing program of wholesale loans.

Responsibilities


  • Developing a stress testing framework for the specific industries under their coverage
  • Understand credit underwriting principles for a specific industry and participate in risk underwriting activities
  • Participate in risk reviews and make stress testing framework an essential component of industry portfolio management
  • Partner with Wholesale Credit Risk Management and collaborate with model developers to enhance loss forecasting models to capture industry specific drivers
  • Partner with LOB team to ensure appropriate business assumptions
  • Enhance reporting of stress estimates to industry based credit teams for ongoing risk appetite measurements and stress capital
  • Provide analysis for portfolio and scenario changes and resulting loss sensitivities / results and provide industry level results explain to LOB results analytics team
  • Be an expert in the portfolio composition of a particular industry portfolio and conduct bottom's up analysis
  • Provide leadership and input into key projects across the department, and contribute to process and efficiency improvement initiatives of the Credit organization

Qualifications


  • 1-3 years professional work experience in financial services (commercial banking or similar)
  • Familiarity with corporate credit risk - ideally underwriting / risk management
  • Ability to effectively present analysis and interact with key stakeholders; build rapport and influence change
  • Strong communication skills - both oral and written
  • Self-motivated, organized and possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment to solve problems and excel in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment
  • Has meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in econometric and statistical modeling for loss and interest income forecasting, risk management, or volume forecasting is preferred.
