Required Related Experience
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from using job-related equipment; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
3rd shift; 7:00 pm - 7:00 am or 8:30 pm - 7:00 am; 7 days on/7 days off.
Assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting; Prepares and delivers individual patient doses, batch doses. Participates in replenishing automated dispensing cabinets; provides customer service in Central Pharmacy.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This position requires dependability, and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.
