Job Description:

The Exclusive Brands(ExB) Program Management Office Sr. Manager will initially help establish the ExB program management capability and will be responsible for the management and leadership of a global team of program managers that provide program and portfolio management support across all ExB product categories. In addition to product related projects, this team will also support the delivery of complex cross-functional or cross-category initiatives as needed.

This leader and his/her team will develop a deep enough understanding of each ExB product category and partner with other cross functional stakeholders to develop and/or improve project management practices that are appropriate to ensure all programs (products and complex initiatives) deliver the desirable outcome.


While remaining grounded in sound project and program management practices, this hands-on leader and his/her team must have the ability to adapt and re-calibrate to the specific project/program’s needs and changing priorities to drive successful outcomes. This individual will need to be able to manage projects in a fast paced, high intensity, and ambiguous environment. He/She must partner with all project/program stakeholders to drive clarity of scope, identify and solve risks, and provide timely updates.


Program Management Strategies and Objectives


  • Formulate the program management strategies and objectives to ensure all programs deliver the desired outcomes, ensuring that all cross functional stakeholders have a voice in the process.

  • Select appropriate program management and reporting tools to support tracking of ExB product development schedules and complex cross-functional team projects leveraging program management office team members and other ExB team members and/or external vendors.

  • In partnership with the ExB business process team, responsible for development and execution of training materials and change management activities to ensure adoption and use of program management strategies and tools.

  • Continuous improvement of program management


  • Program Management Execution

  • Responsible for hands-on program management execution of complex programs and supporting direct reports in the following areas:

  • Responsible for the creation and tracking of end to end project/program schedules integrating input from all cross functional stakeholders and external parties.

  • Define necessary resources, tools and processes in support of each project.

  • Holds workstream owners accountable for committed tasks.

  • In partnership with workstream owners and project/program leaders, identifies risks and provides options to mitigate program risks.

  • Identify and escalate risks and critical issues that may impede planned elements of project.

  • Provides communications related to project needs with cross-functional partners. Communicates status, timelines and deliverables of all assigned programs/projects within the portfolio at the leadership level.


People Leadership and Development

  • Provide day to day supervision and work direction to global direct reports, in-direct reports, and team leaders across combining organizations

  • Train, coach and mentor global program managers.

  • Focus on attracting, training, and developing the right talent.

  • Set clear goals and expectations as a key part of managing performance to drive business outcomes

  • Provide meaningful and timely performance feedback and coaching, and use performance management tools to track and discuss performance

  • Provide developmental opportunities for team members to develop skills, knowledge and experience

  • Anticipates issues and proactively addresses in an open and honest approach while maintaining a positive employee experience for all involved

  • Sets the example in company values and diversity initiatives

  • Builds and maintains trusting relationships and networks


Basic Skills

  • 4+ years project/program management or consulting

  • 4+ years of people or resource leadership and/or management experience directly or indirectly in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to build positive working relationships, influence without authority and work effectively across various disciplines with a broad range of constituents at all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidence to operate effectively and calmly in a stressful environment.

  • High degree of comfort with ambiguity including the ability to organize and adapt to evolving situations.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project to manage a large portfolio of projects.

  • Ability to manage a geographically dispersed team and participate in meetings/calls early in the morning or during the evening.


Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
