The Talent Manager is instrumental in ensuring that talent is a key source of competitive advantage for Week Marine, Inc.'s ongoing growth and success. This extraordinary leader will partner with Business and HR leaders to design and implement strategic strategies covering a broad base of sourcing, diversity & inclusion efforts, operational and workforce planning, pre-hire assessment practices and process/system enhancements, etc.  to meet current and future business objectives. The individual in this role will demonstrate an ability to think strategically, consult and coach effectively while driving change collaboratively to ensure seamless execution.


Essential Job Functions



  • Partner closely with respective Corporate and Division Leaders to create and execute a talent strategy to include developing innovative solutions to meet the staffing needs of the organization in order to cost effectively deliver world class talent across the organization.

  • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified internal and external candidates. Delivering tailored talent sourcing and recruiting services throughout the organization.

  • Supporting the development of workforce plans, integrated enterprise-wide.

  • Proactively manage the talent supply chain (i.e. internal talent pools, external talent sourcing channels such as online media, employee referrals, and search firms) and identifying creative ways to ensure Weeks’ has access to the best talent in the world to fill current and future openings.

  • Establish and integrate analytics to guide and drive talent sourcing and recruiting strategies, capabilities, and initiatives.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with employee-related legislation and internal policies and practices.

  • Build solid partnerships with leaders and HRBPs to ensure informed and efficient solutions based on best practice, data, and understanding of the business.

  • Establish project plans and manage multi-party/phase projects from inception through execution, as well as the facilitation/coordination, requirements gathering, testing, pilots, and after-action reviews. Responsible to proactively communicate with partners to keep projects on track.

  • Innovating for an improved way to achieve better outcomes sourcing and selecting talent and gets the fundamentals with a focus on flawless execution of the basic processes for acquiring talent.

  • Manage external partners on quality of contracted deliverables and adherence to project timelines. Work with internal stakeholders on vendor selection, contracting, and management of scope of work.

Supervisory Responsibilities




  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for our corporate and division talent.


Qualifications


Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to design and implement full-cycle succession and performance management programs.

Education and Experience:



  • 5+ years of broad HR experience including talent management and performance management.

  • Recent experience recruiting in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring for nonexempt, exempt and leadership positions.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.

  • Experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management.

  • Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.

  • Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs.

  • Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements.

Physical Requirements



  • Ability to remain in seated stationary position for long periods of time

  • Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed

  • Ability to travel when required

  • Light lifting (Up to 15 lbs.) as needed
