This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems.
Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages.
Lead and drive discussions with business and functional analysts and come up with technical architecture and design and help the team shape requirements and resolve ambiguities.
Understand the impacts of adapting different architectures and designs and present the same to all relevant stakeholders
Develop solutions following established technical design, application development standards and quality processes in projects.
Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices.
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
Responsibilities include gathering system and user requirements, building Java modules and testing features before release.
Work experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role.
Experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications.
Prior Experience & Skills Required:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of enterprise application development experience.
5+ years with strong core Java/J2EE server side hands on development
Experience with Java Micro services development using spring(Spring Boot) and application containers.
Service development experience including REST/SOAP web services.
Working Knowledge of build tools like Maven, source control like Git/BitBucket with CI/CD.
Working Knowledge or Deep Understanding of Containerization, Dockers and Kubernetes.
Working Knowledge or Deep Understanding of Relational Databases like DB2/Oracle and NoSQL Databases like Cassandra.
Any cloud experience is strongly preferred
Automated testing experience, TDD & BDD preferred
Mainframe Cobol experience preferred
Experience on Agile/Scrum based delivery.
Experience using Splunk, Dynatrace or any other monitoring tools.
Proficient in UNIX Scripting and PL/SQL.
Experience with DevOps concepts.
