Position Overview

This position contributes to the success of the company by assembling the machines and testing them out to find and correct any operational defects. This position supports manufacturing of custom labeling equipment in our Oakland, NJ plant.

Essential Job Functions


  • Build to engineering specifications

  • Work on pressure sensitive labeling equipment to assemble, test and troubleshoot.

  • Effectively interact with engineers to help determine if an assembly change is needed to achieve optimum machine performance.

Requirements


  • Ability to read machine drawings/ documentation to assemble machines

  • Ability to use basic hand tools

  • Ability to use basic power tools

  • Ability to work independently

  • Adherence to all safety guidelines as outlined in the safety manual

  • Own tools

Other Skills/Abilities which will ensure success


  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Machine shop knowledge a plus

  • Fork lift truck knowledge & certification a plus

  • Machine shop background a plus

Physical requirements of position


  • Capable of lifting 40 - 50 pounds, occasionally

  • Capable of prolonged standing

Exposure to Hazardous Materials

Following all federal, state, local and IDT specific safety guidelines as prescribed in the employee handbook and subsequent company safety training. Some minor exposure to hazardous materials such as epoxies, cleaners, etc. may be required as part of this job. Please refer to the material’s specific MSDS for proper handling instructions.
