Vice President, Senior Analytics Solutions Lead

The Machine Learning Center of Excellence is a world-class machine learning team continually advancing state-of-the-art methods to solve a wide range of real-world financial problems using the company's vast and unique datasets.

Morgan's lines of business including Investment Banking, Asset Management and Consumer Banking, through every part of the organization from front office, operations, technology, finance and more. The successful candidate will take the lead of sophisticated machine learning projects to deploy a wide variety of complex applications that include data analytics, natural language processing, speech analytics, and many more. The candidate must excel in working in a highly collaborative environment together with the business, technologists, data scientists, and control partners to deploy solutions into production. The candidate must be patient, energetic, highly organized, and excel at conflict resolution. The candidate must also be equally as comfortable talking to engineers as senior stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to get the best results out of people with different working styles.

Responsibilities


  • Work on some of the most complex problems imaginable at the intersection of two dynamic industries: Finance and AI
  • Work with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, production support, and Business stakeholders to develop and deliver products that can change the way our clients operate, how we service our clients, and how Banking is done today
  • Collaborate with other high-performing teams within JPMC to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank

Minimum Qualifications


  • 7+ years of project management experience building applications from conception to launch
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts through experience or coursework
  • Technical background or familiarity working with engineers and data scientists towards building products is a must-have
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel

  • Experience with end-to-end software engineering development lifecycle and delivery into production

  • Confidence in making decisions under tight timing and pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious, patient, hardworking, detail-oriented, and motivated by complex analytical problems
  • Ability to work both independently and in highly collaborative team environments

Beneficial Skills


  • Experience with JIRA, MS Office suite, and various request ticketing systems
  • Experience with agile methodology (running scrums, burndown chards, sprint planning, etc)

    • Scrum Master certification a plus

  • Prior experience as an AI/ML Project Manager
  • Prior experience working with applications that harness large data sets and use various machine learning techniques to deliver insights and new features
  • Familiarity with data science model development lifecycle (data preparation, model training, etc.)
