Job Description:

The PAG Underwriter II is responsible for performing a detailed review of Condominium, Cooperative and Attached PUD project documentation received from multiple channels including Field Sales, Centralized Sales, Correspondent and Home Equity. Underwrites all project review types. Reviews all project documentation including, but is not limited to - Appraisals, Budgets, Financial Statements, Reserve Studies, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), Offering Plans (& Amendments), By-Laws, Surveys, Plat Maps, Flood Maps, Engineers Report, Environmental Assessments, Insurance Declarations and Policies, Leasehold Agreements, and Project Questionnaires. Recommends or requests Agency and Portfolio exceptions. Performs data entry of key project information in the Project system of record. Fannie Mae Condo Project Manager.

The typical pay scale for this role is between $25.63/hr. and $30.73/hr. This compensation range is specific to CO - and may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations. In addition, the role may be eligible for incentives earned as part of the business aligned program(s) and amounts are determined based on terms of the plan.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate project documentation including, but not limited to, appraisals budgets, Project Questionnaires, financial statements, reserve studies, Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs), Offering Plans (& Amendments), By-Laws, surveys, plat maps, Engineers Report, Environmental Assessments, Leasehold Agreements, Insurance Declarations and Policies, to determine acceptability with Chase lending policies.to determine acceptability with Chase lending policies.

Work with internal partners to assist high profile customers in determining if a project or individual loan requests meet eligible Condo, Cooperative and Attached PUD classifications and product specifications.

Achieve targets for productivity, quality and partner satisfaction.

Contact outside third parties on occasion to obtain additional information, as required.

Knowledge and Experience


  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a residential project underwriter
  • Expert knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and Chase residential project guidelines
  • Experience analyzing complex financial information and appraisals
  • Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience providing excellent customer/partner service
  • Experience in working in a team environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high volume environment
  • College 4-year degree preferred
