Job Description:

The Financial Accounting, Infrastructure and Reporting (FAIR) team is accountable for the integrity of the books and records of the Firm / LOBs and leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events. The regional locations covered by FAIR include EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa), North America and Asia.

The organization closely examines the general ledger, operating systems and infrastructure controls across the entire lifecycle and diverse product scope of the investment bank to ensure the firm's financial information is accurately depicted for reporting and regulation purposes. This financial information is used by analysts to assess the firm's financial position; by management to make sound financial decisions; by investors to make informed decisions; and by regulators to supervise and examine the firm appropriately.

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


  • Support 1-2 FAIR senior managers in headcount tracking, support of location strategy, facilitation of management team meetings, and ensuring organization is on track to meet financial goals.
  • Proactively take ownership of financial data and elevate any issues.
  • Drive process improvement to enhance reporting and gain efficiencies.
  • Prepare consolidated executive presentations for senior management.
  • Ad hoc projects - Support cross program governance team on additional projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2-4 years financial services or business experience
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented mindset, including the ability to not only gather data, but also present findings (ie, "tell the story")
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately against multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to lead and influence without having positional authority, and communicate effectively at many levels of the organization including senior management
  • Must be detail oriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines
  • Strong team-orientation and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills; sound judgment with a control mindset
  • Overall strong desktop skills including Excel and PowerPoint (PitchPro)
  • MS SharePoint skills are a plus
